About
Born and raised in ruralish Illinois, Kat first attended undergrad at Purdue University, where she joined a sorority and often ate at the Olive Garden. Not a big fan of West Lafayette, Indiana, Kat transferred to DePaul University in Chicago, where she completed her bachelor's degree in film, minoring in photography.
After college Kat worked as a radio producer, reporter and web editor for WLPO, WAJK and WKOT based in Oglesby, IL. She also interned and freelanced for Time Out Chicago magazine. Following a move to NYC, Kat worked as a production assistant on America's Next Top Model, where she bought mouthwash for Tyra and cheese for Nigel.
Kat Associate Produced shows for MSNBC, Discovery Science and Discovery Planet Green, before returning to school. She will graduate from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in December, and looks forward to many more journalistic adventures!
